Department of physics was established in the year 2014 offering BSc physics at undergraduate level along with complementary papers of mathematics and chemistry.The number of seats sanctioned for the department is 48.At present ,the department has four faculty members.
The aim of our department is to stimulate hardwork, discipline, sincerety, integrity, research and social responsibility of the students.The department provides quality training and value based education to the students which enriches the areas of pure and applied physics.
We conduct various programmes for the academic enhancement of the students.Several innovative teaching- learning methods such as seminars,group discussions, project works, webinar, exhibitions etc.Our department has a well equipped laboratory for the BSc programme.The department also has computer system facilities for gaining practical experience in python programming.
The mission of our department is to aggrandize the innovative minds of the students to become competent and promising scientific professionals.They are also encouraged to do projects at different institutes.
